
Pedro Vaz Pinto
He is an Angolan biologist, born in 1967 in the city of Luanda. Graduated in Forestry Engineering, with specialization in Natural Resources Management, by Instituto Superior de Agronomia (Technical University of Lisbon).
In 2003 he joined the Center for Scientific Research and Studies at the Catholic University of Angola, and since then he has been coordinating the Giant Palanca Negra Conservation Project.
He is currently a researcher at the Angola pole of CIBIO / InBIO Associate Laboratory, and scientific head of the research team in Mammology of the newly created twinlab resulting from the twinning between CIBIO and the Lubango Herbarium and Museum of Ornithology (HMOML) of the Institute University of Education Sciences of Huíla – ISCED-Huíla.
